PRP Hair Restoration

Thinning hair and hair loss is an unfortunate aspect of aging for both men and women. PRP Hair Restoration injections have shown to promote hair regrowth, increase hair thickness, increase the number of follicles and improve overall health and integrity of the hair.

Hair Regenerative approach has shown improved outcomes with combination of therapies along with PRP injections. The physicians at Two Rivers use special vitamins, peptides, LED light and hormonal modulation often resulting in better outcomes.

What are the main reasons for hair loss?

What Does PRP do?

Studies have shown that Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) is an effective treatment for thinning hair. PRP can increase hair thickness, number of follicles and improve overall health and integrity of the hair. It is also helpful to be used for hair loss secondary to a variety of causes including aging, hormones, nutritional deficits and chronic disease.

PRP is harvested from your own blood and processed down into high concentrations of platelets and growth factors. PRP is really an regenerative powerhouse and studies have shown it helps with multiple types of hair loss.

Procedure

Hair Restoration treatments entail harvesting PRP through a simple blood draw, then the PRP is processed for preparation for injection. Your own high quality PRP is then injected into your scalp in the areas of hair loss.

FAQs: PRP Hair Restoration

From our experience, treatment intervals should include monthly sessions for the first 3 months, then a fourth treatment 6 months later (for a total of four treatments over 12 months), followed by maintenance treatments every 12 to 18 months.

The treated follicles need time to go through the normal growth phases before results are appreciated. Early signs of new growth are often visible between the 2nd and 3rd treatments, though improvements can appear earlier on or take longer, depending on the individual.

Cost of treatment is $500/ procedure. Packages of 3 are discounted by 10%, packages of 6 are discounted by 20%.

The use of PRP for hair restoration is a newer development in the field of medicine. There are numerous studies showing really positive outcomes for patients with use of PRP for increased hair thickness and development of new hair follicles.
