As will most injections, there is mild discomfort. Most patients find that the procedure is not painful and only take 2-3 minutes to perform.
Patients typically will experience mild redness or tenderness at area of injections for 1-3 days.
The PRP under-eye injections typically only take about 2-3 minutes, but individuals should expect to be in office from 30 to 60 minutes to account for the blood draw and PRP processing time.
Typically, the best results occur after 2-3 treatments. Depending on the severity of the issue, periodically 3 or more treatments are needed.
Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP): The average number of treatments is 2-4 treatments. We find that one PRP treatment is equal to roughly 3 prolotherapy treatments. Treatment outcomes are dependent on the health of the individual’s platelets. Each patient will have a different level of health resulting in varying outcomes between patients.
PRP under-eye injections pair really well with PRP facial regeneration treatments. These procedures can be combined together during the same treatment.
